KAHI Cleansing Balm Pore Control (Mung Bean)

A twist-up Korean cleansing balm with mung bean and gentle acids · 50 ml

About the formula

KAHI Cleansing Balm Pore Control (Mung Bean) is a cleansing balm with a twist. Turn the top and it shaves off soft, frilly curls of balm, so there's no dipping, no scooping and no balm under your nails. On dry skin it melts into an oil, turns into a fine scrub as you massage, then washes off like milk.

Ground mung bean gently buffs while lactic acid, capryloyl salicylic acid and gluconolactone help lift away make-up, excess oil and dullness, for skin that looks clearer and feels smoother. Safflower and tea tree keep it fresh. 50 ml, developed in Korea.

Good to know

Questions, answered

How do you use a cleansing balm?

Twist the top 1–3 times, massage the balm over dry skin in gentle circles, then add a splash of water so it turns milky and rinse with lukewarm water. If you double cleanse, follow with your usual foam cleanser.

Is a cleansing balm good for oily skin?

Yes. This one is made for oily, combination and congested-looking skin. It melts make-up and excess oil, then emulsifies into a milk that rinses clean rather than leaving an oily film.

Does it remove waterproof mascara?

It melts away everyday make-up. For long-wear or waterproof mascara, hold the balm gently on closed lashes for a few seconds before rolling it off, then rinse well. Keep the scrub away from the eye area.

Can I use it every day?

It's made as an everyday cleanser, with a fine mung bean scrub and gentle acids. Massage lightly, and use it every other day if your skin starts to feel sensitive.

Why does it come in a twist-up jar?

Turning the top shaves the balm into soft curls, so your fingers never go into the jar. There's no dipping or scooping, and no balm under your nails.

Is it suitable for sensitive skin?

It contains gentle acids, tea tree oil and fragrance, so patch test first on a small area, such as the inner arm, and keep it away from your eyes. For sensitive-feeling skin, the Sensitive Care Camellia balm is the gentler choice.

Can I use it with retinol or other acids?

It's a rinse-off cleanser, so it's on your skin only briefly. If you already use retinol or strong exfoliating acids, start with a few evenings a week and see how your skin feels, and wear sun protection by day.

Which KAHI cleansing balm is right for me?

Pore Control Mung Bean for oily or congested-looking skin, Sensitive Care Camellia for sensitive-feeling skin, Vita Care for dull, tired-looking skin, and Nourishing Care Carrot for skin that feels tight after cleansing.

Can I use it during pregnancy?

It hasn't been tested during pregnancy, so please ask your GP or midwife before using it while pregnant or breastfeeding. The full ingredient list is below.
